Good Morning, Parishville-Hopkinton Community:

This week is traditionally called 'Teacher Appreciation Week,' but at our school, we know that education is a team sport. It takes a literal village to support a child’s growth, and today, I want to shine a light on the entire team that makes Parishville-Hopkinton so special.

Our students' day starts and ends with our Transportation Team. Thank you for being the first friendly face they see and for getting our most precious cargo home safely every single day.

When they arrive, they step onto a campus kept beautiful by our Buildings and Grounds Crew and meticulously maintained by our Cleaners. You provide the safe, sparkling environment our kids deserve to learn in, often working behind the scenes to make it happen.

In the offices, our Administrative Assistants are the glue holding us together. You are the heartbeat of our communication and the problem-solvers who keep us organized.

We are so grateful for our Cafeteria Staff, who don't just provide meals, but nourish our students so they have the energy to tackle the day.

And inside our classrooms, the magic happens because of a powerful collaboration. To our Teachers and Teaching Assistants: thank you for your brilliance, your late nights, and your unwavering belief in every child’s potential. And to our Substitute Teachers: thank you for stepping into the gap with grace and flexibility, ensuring that the learning never stops.

To our Guidance and School Psychology team, thank you for being the quiet strength and the steady hand our students rely on every single day. You provide the safe harbor and the emotional support that allow our children to overcome obstacles and truly thrive. We are a better, kinder, and more resilient school because of your expertise and your heart.

To our School Nurse, thank you for being the calm in the storm and the compassionate caregiver our students turn to whenever they are in need. Your expertise and quick thinking keep our hallways safe, while your kindness ensures that every child feels comforted and cared for. We are incredibly grateful for your dedication to the health and well-being of our entire school family.

To this entire staff: You are the backbone of this community. Whether you are behind a wheel, a desk, a mop, the serving line or a whiteboard—what you do matters. On behalf of our families and our students, thank you for choosing Parishville-Hopkinton. We are better because you are here!

Dear Families- please have your student take a look at home for spare Chromebooks and/or chargers and return any to the Main Office. We are preparing for another busy week of testing and we are missing loaner devices and chargers. Thanks for your help!

We had another amazing Community Paint night hosted by Ms. Kahrs. It was great to see retirees, community members, current and former students and a Board of Education member there. Big thanks to PTO for providing snacks. It was a wonderful night!

Our students had a great time at the fourth annual NYSPHAA student leadership conference in Albany. Along with hundreds of other student-athletes from around the state we learned about topics like: life beyond the game, getting to where you want to be in life through service and building respect between athletes and officials. Kylie was part of the presenting team, as one of her Student Athletic Advisory Committee duties.
