Dear Parent/Guardian(s), When sending in notes for your children, please be sure to include a DATE and be sure the note is on a standard size piece of paper. Tiny notes are easily lost and dates help us keep track of what is going on. Thank you for your help. PHCS

Parishville-Hopkinton Community Forum Series October 11th 6:00pm (Auditorium) Our first PHCS community forum is all about food. Last year, our school started the process to reinvent our food services program and now we need more community partners. We want to move to a more sustainable farm-to-table model that involves farms and food distributors in Parishville, Hopkinton, and the rest of St. Lawrence County. Please come to our first meeting to learn more about our school food service vision and see where you can be a solution for our school.

Today’s main lunch choice was Chicken Fajita Bowl with Cilantro Lime Brown Rice, Cheesy Refried Beans, Fresh Assorted Fruit, and Milk. If your child chose to take all they were offered, this is what their tray may have looked like. Kudos to Chefs Taylor and Cory and the rest of the kitchen staff for preparing healthy meals for our students and staff!

Today, Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Cruikshank met with all students in grades 7-12 prior to the start of the first day of school. During our gathering, we reviewed some important information, specifically regarding the PHCS Dress Code (as per the District Code of Conduct), and behavioral expectations throughout the school building. Guidelines pertaining to the use of all Personal Telecommunication Devices (cell phones, smart devices, ear/Airpods, etc.) were also shared. If you are interested in reviewing this information, please visit the documents at this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kAhE4ouTXoLzSvgdlasLvAiBE-BpJU8m?usp=sharing As always, please reach out to us at school at any time you have a question or concern regarding your child. Thank you for being a partner in your child's education.

The PHCS Panther Paws Project would like to thank everyone who contributed in some way to making our first ever in-person Panther Paws Festival-Back2School Event a HUGE success! We were able to get FREE school supplies and other items into the hands of over 100 PHCS students!! That means that over 25% of our district benefitted from this event. But none of it would have been possible without the help from our generous donors, those who helped plan the event, all of the amazing volunteers, and of course, YOU, our district families! 🫶🏻 We look forward to seeing you all again next year! But if you happen to need something in the meantime, please reach out to the Guidance Office or April Fullerton at the school. #PantherPride♥️🐾🖤

We look forward to seeing you all at our PHCS Panther Paws Festival-Back2School Event this Thursday! A minor change has been made, unfortunately we will no longer be hosting a Bike Rodeo as our presenter is no longer able to attend our event due to unforeseen circumstances. We are saddened by this, but please know that we will have LOTS of other fun things to do. This event is open to all district families, including those attending programs outside of our building and those who are homeschooled. We also welcome families from other school districts if your home district does not offer a back to school event and you are in need of supplies. Priority of limited supplies will be given to PHCS students, however. There is NO COST to attend this event. All activities and vendors are FREE of charge. See you all there!

Don't forget that the PHCS Panther Paws Festival: Back-2-School Event is just around the corner! Bring the whole family out for an evening of fun. Here are a few highlights of what to expect: Children can bring their bikes and helmets to get a safety check of them and participate in a bike rodeo. We will have Nicandri Nature Center there with some fun scaly friends. The Sheriffs Department will be set up to do SAFE Child ID cards for all the children in your family. The Ladies Auxiliary will be preparing and handing out a free meal. The PHCS PTO will be there for interested parents to sign up to join them in all the wonderful good they do for our district. Come meet our fantastic new MS/HS Art Teacher, Ms. Khars, and let her paint your face. And of course, there will be FREE school supplies (supply lists will be available), backpacks, clothing, hair cut vouchers, and books set up (until run out). And that is just a taste of what will be there! So come join in on all the fun while Jeff Yette entertains us all with some wonderful music! We look forward to seeing you all there.
