
Please join us IN PERSON for our Annual PHCS Back-to-School event on Thursday, August 25th from 3-7pm at the Parishville Fire Hall on Rutman Rd. We are turning this event into a Festival, with lots of fun activities for the family, including: free haircut vouchers, a free meal, a MYO ice cream sundae booth, Safe Child ID cards, a bicycle safety check (bring your bikes to have them checked by the experts!), free school supplies and backpacks (until run out), a clothing sidewalk sale (all items are free!), community info booths, free books, games, music provided by Jeff Yette, and so much more! We will have sign ups for the Backpack Program and the All-Paws After School Program at this event as well. So bring the family out for an afternoon of FREE fun! Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please keep an eye out for a mailing coming home soon from PHCS. In it you will find an application for Free/Reduced lunches for students. There is also a form for you to fill out to update information on who is authorized to pick up and/or be contacted about your child(ren). Please return these forms to the school address by August 15th. Feel free to call the school at 315-265-4642 with any questions. Thank you!

A HUGE thank you to the Parishville Shooting Range for volunteering their space, time, and resources Monday, 6/13 for our 7th and 8th grade students. We had a fantastic day shooting a rifle, pistol, and shotgun thanks to Mark Wiltsey, Larry Hopsicker, Tom Yugartis, Jerry Forbes, Jean-Pierre Plante, Dick Ashlaw, and Shannon Yugartis!

June Scholarships:
1. The Allman Family Business Development, Marketing, and Sales Scholarship Endowment
The winnings: $5,000
Due on: June 17
What it is: The Allman Family Business Development, Marketing, and Sales Scholarship is designed to recognize a student committed to forging a career in business development, sales, or marketing. Students should be planning to major in business management, marketing, or any other business-related programs to apply.
2. Wize USA High School Scholarship
The winnings: $1,000
Due on: June 29
What it is: A scholarship that can be completed in as little as 5 minutes! The Wize USA High School Scholarship doesn’t require an essay, and all high school years are eligible to apply.
3. Aviation Program Scholarship
The winnings: 1 award for $2,500
Due on: June 30
What it is: The Aviation Program Scholarship is need-based and will be given to a high school senior, college student, or grad student interested in aviation. It requires just one short essay (between 100 and 250 words) asking the student to reflect on their career goals for the next five years.
4. Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship Award
The winnings: $1,000
Due on: Jun 30
What it is: The Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship is meant for high school (between 9th and 12th grade) and college students committed to eliminating cyberbullying. Students will need to complete the online application and submit an essay on one of the two topics given.
5. Reef2Leaf Scholarship

What it is: The Reef2Leaf Scholarship is an essay contest created to encourage students to think about our environment. They will be asked to detail a time they tried to protect the environment and outline a future idea for a project.
6. Christopher Nohl Scholarship for Diverse Backgrounds

What it is: The Christopher Nohl Scholarship for Diverse Backgrounds is a broad eligibility scholarship created for students that plan to establish a business in the future.
7. Global Perspectives Scholarship
The winnings: $250 - $1,000
Due on: August 1
What it is: The Global Perspectives Scholarship is for high school or college students who care about making a positive impact. Applicants must write an essay on: “What kind of global impact project is most critical for you to focus on and why, and what is your plan to make that impact in the next year and beyond?”
8. Alex Austin's Overcoming Adversity Scholarship
The winnings: $500 - $1,000 for multiple recipients
Due on: September 1
What is it: Alex Austin's Overcoming Adversity Scholarship is for students that have overcome hardship throughout their lives. High school and undergraduate students of all years are encouraged to apply.

Our 1st and 2nd graders went on an adventure to the Nicandri Nature Center in Masenna today. What a great trip!
