Thank you for your patience and understanding as the Board of Education, school administrators and Re-Opening Task Force work our way through the guidance from the New York State Education Department, CDC and the St. Lawrence County Public Health. Our most up-to-date plan is outlined in the sections to follow.
Guidance for schools has evolved as the scientific community learns more about the COVID-19 virus. Many protocols in place last year have been removed or revised. The two most important strategies include vaccination for those who are eligible and the correct and consistent use of face coverings for all staff, students, and visitors to school, regardless of vaccination status. Together these two mitigating steps will go a long way in keeping our school community safe and healthy.
